Fireclay Sinks
spacious - distinctive – durable

The fireclay sink takes on a new life as it moves into the 21st Century.  No longer confined to the farmhouse, it has become a distinctive design statement in any kitchen, bathroom or laundry. There is a world-wide resurgence in the use of fireclay sinks because they are attractive, durable, stain resistant and spacious enough to accommodate those large platters and baking dishes that still require hand washing.

The new generation of fireclay sinks continue to be handmade in a process that takes several days to produce each sink. The core is made by pouring liquefied fireclay into a mould and once set, the sink is removed and hand finished. It is then sprayed with a glaze made from ground glass and placed overnight in a kiln at 1250° C. to bake the sink and fire the glaze.
