Unlike most modern tapware and shower fittings that are made from chrome coloured plastics and aluminium alloys, Perrin & Rowe taps and shower fittings are made from solid brass. Brass has proven to be the ultimate material for tapware, withstanding years of constant use and temperature variation without cracking or distortion.  The engineers at Perrin & Rowe employ the latest computer controlled technology to machine solid brass into complex and detailed tap componentry with the finest of tolerances and an extremely high standard of finish.
 

Superceding conventional tap washers, Perrin & Rowe taps are fitted with ceramic disc valves.  Operating with a quarter turn from off to on, they provide many years of effortless and drip free operation. Ceramic disc valve units are easily and inexpensively replaced and have a 5 year guarantee.

Perrin & Rowe taps are available with either lever or crosshead handles. Lever handled taps are supplied with white porcelain lever handles and for an additional NZ$30 per pair, these can be changed to metal to match the tap body or Corian in any of their many colours.

Crosshead handles are fitted with white porcelain Perrin & Rowe indices labelled HOT or COLD.

FINISHES

Perrin & Rowe taps are electroplated with either chrome, nickel, pewter or gold finishes.  Each with its own characteristics, there is one to suit the style of your bathroom.

Chrome:   A brightly polished finish with a hint of blue.
Nickel:     Similar to chrome but with a golden hue. If not polished, nickel will lose its shine and develop an aged patina similar to silverware. It has a unique look and suits traditional homes.
Pewter:    A brushed nickel finish that looks like satin stainless steel.
Gold:        A brightly polished finish made from a blend of nickel and 24ct. gold to replicate polished brass.
